Jubail Island
About Company
Jubail Island, situated between Saadiyat and Yas Islands in Abu Dhabi, represents a significant initiative aimed at integrating residential living with environmental stewardship. Spanning an area of 400 hectares, this project is being developed by the Jubail Island Investment Company (JIIC) and was officially launched in 2019. The primary objective is to establish a sustainable community that aligns with its natural environment while offering low-density housing options. The development entails an investment of Dh5 billion and is projected to accommodate between 5,000 and 6,000 residents.
A notable feature of the island is the Jubail Mangrove Park, which serves as an exceptional educational, natural, and recreational venue, having commenced operations in January 2020. This park is dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity, focusing on the protection of various wildlife species, including gazelles, sea turtles, and flamingos. Furthermore, the island is committed to safeguarding its mangrove ecosystem by planting thousands of new trees to bolster local biodiversity.
Abdulla Al Shamsi, the CEO of Jubail Island Investment Company, plays a crucial role in advancing the island’s eco-friendly initiatives while also providing residential, commercial, and recreational facilities.
Jubail Island exemplifies sustainable development in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant contribution to the real estate and environmental landscape of the UAE.
