Job Description

  • Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by and under supervision of the staff nurse. 
  • Respond quickly to patient’s request for assistance. 
  • Assist with patient’s hygiene, elimination, mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking needs while observing and reporting any specific changes to the staff nurse. 
  • Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patient’s room within the unit. 
  • Assist in the maintenance of supply and storage areas.
  • Transporting specimens to laboratory.
  • Escort patients to and from Radiology Department as directed by nurse on duty.
  • Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient’s room for admission/discharge.
  • Assist the nursing staff during the lifting and turning of the patients and transporting them in wheel chairs or movable beds
  • Works evenings, nights, week-ends and holidays according to the schedule compiled by the head of department.
  • Assist in Patient movement either on wheelchair and stretcher, beds or ambulance transfer within Hospital scope of work.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate.
  • Demonstrate motivation to work in a health care environmet. 
  • Acceptable command of oral and written English required. Knowledge of Arabic
