As a Staff Nurse in the Surgical Clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and provide nursing care in a surgical clinic setting.
- Assist surgeons during minor procedures and ensure proper surgical asepsis.
- Monitor patients post-operation and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of medical information.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards in the surgical clinic.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in maintaining accreditation standards.
- Stay updated on latest developments in surgical nursing practices and technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- Clinical experience in a surgical setting preferred
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
