Job Purpose: To perform a range of automotive repairs and maintenance on various vehicle types within our fleet.  To focus on accurately diagnosing and repairing issues related to engines, transmissions, braking systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical problems. Requires strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and optimal performance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Diagnostics & Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues across a range of systems (brakes, suspension, air conditioning, fuel, exhaust, and electrical).
• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections and identify any concerns, addressing them proactively.
• Record-Keeping: Accurately document repairs, maintenance, parts used, and work performed on each vehicle.
• Vehicle Readiness: Ensure that rental vehicles are cleaned, fueled, and ready for delivery.
• Customer Service: Address vehicle-related issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction with completed repairs.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth operations and share expertise.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on automotive technologies through training and development opportunities.
• Workspace Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Test & Quality Check: Test repaired systems and perform road tests to ensure repairs meet standards.
• Inventory Management: Track parts and inventory accurately, maintaining proper records.
• Communication: Inform the Supervisor about additional repair needs and coordinate with manufacturers as needed.
• Fleet Management: Assist in processing new fleet vehicles, including fuel reclamation and buy-backs.
• Other Duties: Support workshop operations and perform additional tasks as directed by Supervisor / Operations Manager.
