The Service Line Manager is tasked with overseeing the efficient and effective operation of assigned services, focusing on personnel management, program development, patient relations, and patient flow. Key responsibilities include clinical coordination, ensuring clinical excellence, optimizing patient flow, enhancing patient experience, and driving service development. This role provides critical leadership for all team members, managing operations and executing strategies related to business functions and patient flow activities within the service lines
Responsibilities
- Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manages daily operations, budgets, staffing, and resource allocation effectively.
- Provides leadership in implementing strategic goals, succession planning, and team development.
- Oversees service line activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Leads service growth initiatives, including care coordination and clinical integration.
- Drives continuous improvement in operational systems, patient care, and service delivery and facilitates feedback management to address service gaps and enhance quality.
- Develops clinical pathways and multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration to improve outcomes continuously monitors and evaluates care quality, patient safety, and compliance with clinical standards.
- Builds strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and community partners ensuring effective communication between staff, patients, and healthcare professionals.
- Monitors compliance with national and international regulatory standards by actively participating in accreditation and risk management activities.
- Manages staff performance, training, and professional growth by encouraging skill acquisition, innovation, and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) and clinical outcomes.
- Reports operational and clinical data to senior management for informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery with an active DOH license
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Unit Manager in Labor and Delivery (LDR), Antenatal, Postnatal, Women’s Outpatient Department (OPD), and Women’s Urgent Care.
