Your new role, what’s involved?

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SCADA systems for power transmission and distribution networks.
  • Monitor the performance and functionality of the SCADA system to ensure it meets operational requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage project activities related to SCADA system deployment, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide technical support and expertise in SCADA systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Assist in the development and review of technical specifications and documentation.
  • Ensure that the SCADA system adheres to relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and audits to guarantee system integrity and security.
  • Oversee data collection, storage, and analysis processes within the SCADA system.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for operational and reporting purposes.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff and operators on SCADA system usage and best practices.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to SCADA.
  • Generate reports and documentation on SCADA system performance, incidents, and operational activities.
  • Maintain records of system configurations, changes, and updates.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with SCADA system operation and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place to protect the SCADA system from potential threats.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, senior management, and regulatory bodies regarding SCADA system status and performance.
  • Participate in meetings and provide updates on project progress

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical OR Mechanical or any related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience in power networks industry.
  • ADMS system basic knowledge.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local and international construction codes and regulations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Abu Dhabi experience is mandatory.
