Your new role, what’s involved?
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SCADA systems for power transmission and distribution networks.
- Monitor the performance and functionality of the SCADA system to ensure it meets operational requirements.
- Coordinate and manage project activities related to SCADA system deployment, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Provide technical support and expertise in SCADA systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Assist in the development and review of technical specifications and documentation.
- Ensure that the SCADA system adheres to relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and audits to guarantee system integrity and security.
- Oversee data collection, storage, and analysis processes within the SCADA system.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for operational and reporting purposes.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff and operators on SCADA system usage and best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to SCADA.
- Generate reports and documentation on SCADA system performance, incidents, and operational activities.
- Maintain records of system configurations, changes, and updates.
- Identify and assess risks associated with SCADA system operation and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place to protect the SCADA system from potential threats.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, senior management, and regulatory bodies regarding SCADA system status and performance.
- Participate in meetings and provide updates on project progress
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical OR Mechanical or any related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience in power networks industry.
- ADMS system basic knowledge.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local and international construction codes and regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Abu Dhabi experience is mandatory.
