Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the organization and delivery of operations, administration, and support service teams across the school(s).
  • Implement a ‘service culture’ and ensure effective staff deployment and recruitment of high-caliber candidates.
  • Support and advise the Principal, Senior Leadership, and Aldar Education HQ on operational and HSE matters.
  • Implement processes and provide strategic guidance on Audit and Regulatory Compliance matters.
  • Ensure operations staff receive high-quality professional development and training.
  • Support the principal in achieving strategic objectives through business improvement plans.
  • Develop and implement policies, systems, processes, and student safeguarding measures.
  • Be contactable outside of normal school hours as needed.
  • Develop performance and efficient working hours of customer-focused teams.
  • Continuously review support services models and staffing levels.
  • Lead recruitment, development, and training of Operations & Support Service staff.
  • Monitor operational budgets and ensure best value and service.
  • Review opportunities for shared resources and services across schools.
  • Ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority processes.
  • Act as the responsible person for HSE effectiveness and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Drive a positive health and safety culture and support specific health, safety and environmental aims.
  • Coordinate internal and external health, safety and environmental audits.
  • Support the effective delivery of a health and safety committee within the school.

Minimum Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelors (BSc) in business-related subject; or
  • Related industry qualification at graduate level.
  • Certificate in School Business Management / Facilities Management / NEBOSH or IOSH preferable.

Minimum Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior level position within an education or service-oriented industry.
