Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Teach all areas related to the subject and relevant curriculum.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior, policies, and procedures to maintain order among students.
- Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, and social development.
- Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for students to explore, manipulate, and use in learning activities.
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
- Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students’ behavioral and academic problems.
- Prepare students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and persevere with challenging tasks.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
- Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
Job Description:
- Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their students’ progress, and to determine their priorities for their students and their resource needs.
- Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of ADEK/KHDA and schools.
- Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or special academic interests.
- Identify students showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and SEN Department.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on students and activities, as required by ADEK/KHDA and School.
- Assess students by conducting quizzes, tests, projects, etc …
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress.
- Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress.
- Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
- Administer standardized ability and achievement tests, and interpret results to determine students’ developmental levels and needs.
- Prepare for assigned classes, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors.
- Utilize different types of technology in the classroom to create meaningful learning experiences for students of all ages.
- Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities.
- Attend professional meetings including staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve performance, and serve on committees as required.
- Perform break duties as scheduled by the section’s administrators.
- Perform administrative duties such as assisting in school libraries, play areas, and cafeteria monitoring, and during the bus timings.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.
