Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical inventory, including stock levels, expiration dates, and usage trends.
• Implement First-In-First-Out (FIFO) and proper rotation practices to ensure that older stock is used first, minimizing expired or obsolete items.
• Process orders for pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring timely replenishment and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Enforce strict security measures to prevent unauthorized access to pharmaceutical inventory, reducing the risk of theft or mishandling.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate restocking procedures as needed to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies regarding storage conditions and handling of pharmaceutical products.
• Maintain emergency stock levels of critical pharmaceuticals to support hospital operations during unforeseen events or supply chain disruptions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all transactions, including deliveries, returns, and adjustments.
• Coordinate with pharmacy staff, purchasing departments, and vendors to optimize inventory levels and procurement processes.
• Generate regular reports on inventory status, usage patterns, and supply chain efficiency for management review.
• Regularly reconcile invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders with actual inventory levels to ensure accuracy in financial records and stock counts.
• Participate in inventory audits and inspections to verify accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
