Job Description

  • Perform additional duties when required
  • Ensure relevant training and competency is undertaken to deliver care safely
  • Maintain up-to-date mandatory training requirements
  • Be willing to learn new skills and actively contribute to the learning culture through attendance of journal clubs and professional development programs.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement Plans when required
  • Share knowledge and skill with others, in order to improve patient care and service
  • Speak up, if something isn’t right.
  • Maintain awareness of and comply with, the NMC Policies and Procedures
  • Participate in all activities related to DOH/DHA/MOH/MOHAP and NMC Quality Improvement when required
  • Uphold the regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Continually seek to improve the service of and care delivery for patients and their families
  • Report and notify all untoward/serious and near miss incidents to your direct line manager and then through the incident reporting system in a timely manner
  • Cooperate with all investigations and audits when requested to do so in the interest of developing a learning culture and seeking to improve care and service
  • Promote customer service based on NMC patient satisfaction results.
  • Share best practices and quality patient outcomes through audit.
  • Be aware of the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes measured through Nursing Sensitive Key Performance Indicators and external benchmarks.
  • Contribute to a positive practice environment, upholding the six standards of ANCC Pathway to Excellence®
  • Act as a positive role model for all support staff
  • Attends meetings as requested
  • Must have insight of own behaviour on others
  • Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care under the direct supervision of registered nursing staff.
  • Comply will all aspects of the UAE Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice and licensure as per the regulator.

Qualifications


•    Be willing to work across departments when necessary 
•    Manager their own professional re-licensure
•    Have a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider qualification
•    Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written)
•    Be able to communicate effectively in Arabic
