We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our outstanding inclusion department as the Head of Secondary Inclusion. Key Job Accountabilities:
· Lead the Secondary Inclusion Department, overseeing the development and implementation of inclusive practices.
· Collaborate with staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
· Provide leadership and guidance in supporting students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth within the inclusion department.
· To ensure the curriculum is delivered in an exciting and challenging way and meets the needs of individual pupils.
· Actively engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
· Assist teachers in the development of children’s individual goals
· Support and oversee the IEP writing process.
· Maintain discretion and confidentiality where individual needs are concerned
Requirements:
· A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
· Fully qualified teacher holding BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
· SENCO or similar specialist subject qualification relating to the support of children with additional learning needs.
· Proven experience in a leadership role within an inclusive educational setting.
· Demonstrable expertise in effectively supporting students in Key Stages 4 and 5.
· Passion for inclusion and a commitment to promoting an inclusive ethos throughout the school.
· Experience in facilitating exam accommodations is desirable.
· Committed professional, dedicated to raising standards in alignment with the schools vision, mission and values.
· An advocate for inclusive practice, with a passion for enriching the opportunities of all learners.
· Secure knowledge of the National Curriculum for England.
· Exposure to teaching alternative qualification pathways is desirable.
