Due to the ongoing success of GEMS Wesgreen International School (WGP), we are seeking an exceptional Executive Head of Secondary – Boys and Girls Campuses to join our team in September 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role on the Executive Leadership Team, supporting the Principal/CEO in strategically, operationally, and financially leading the school.

Job Purpose:

The Executive Head of Secondary will be accountable for creating an outstanding, holistic, and dynamic educational experience for our students, resulting in exceptionally high outcomes through the implementation of a clear educational strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and review of an outstanding secondary curriculum.
  • Lead the development and implementation of International GCSE, International A Level and alternative curriculum courses. 
  • Foster a culture where all data is viewed as wellbeing data and is utilized effectively to optimize progress and personalize learning.
  • Role model and promote exceptionally high academic standards while committing to UAE National Agenda targets.
  • Ensure high standards of learning and teaching through effective monitoring, evaluation, and review systems, alongside professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain high-quality safeguarding, care, and support for all students.
  • Manage budgets and undertake teaching and other professional duties as delegated by the Principal/CEO.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents using excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Actively contribute to the school community and culture through engagement in extracurricular programmes and community events.

  • Be an effective and dynamic leader (either a Head or exceptional Deputy) with a proven track record in school improvement.
  • Promote excellence and a commitment to high standards of care and opportunities for all students.
  • Demonstrate successful experience in leading and managing staff while promoting and developing effective approaches to learning.
  • Have a comprehensive and confident knowledge of the curriculum at KS3, KS4 and post-16.
  • Show a genuine passion for the wider co-curricular life of the school.
