Performs maintenance repair tasks, including disassembly, reassembly, and test operation.
Prepares and enters data in logs, reports, forms, and equipment records regarding inspections, repairs, and the condition and operation of equipment periodically.
Inspects all electro-mechanical systems that are part of the Bio-Medical Department.
Maintains these systems and keeps checklists updated.
Prepares requests for the supply of medical gas to the hospital.
Maintains a data log of cylinder changes and purchase details.
Complies with all OSH and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, and cooperates with hospital management to ensure compliance.
Works in accordance with documented OSH procedures and specific responsibilities.
Is familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Reports OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and issues, and assists with the preparation of risk assessments and incident reports.
Complies with waste management procedures and policies.
Attends applicable OSH/Infection Control training programs, mock drills, and awareness programs.
Uses appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
Qualifications
Diploma in Bio-Medical Engineering, or high school plus technical qualification and training in electronics or instrumentation (preferred).
One year of experience in maintenance involving the application of trade school training.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent command of oral and written English to read and understand technical literature and schematics; knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential.
