we are seeking to appoint an inspirational and proactive Associate Assistant Head of Primary – Curriculum Enrichment & Student Experience to join our leadership team at Arcadia British School. This vital role focuses on empowering our staff and community to deliver an outstanding curriculum enrichment programme and to provide high quality student experience.
This is an exciting and varied leadership role and the successful candidate must have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as a large part of the role involves bringing teams and individuals together to lead and organise programmes and projects with various priorities. They should thrive on thinking outside the box, taking risks, actively listening to various viewpoints and knowing where purposeful links and connections can and should be made.
The successful candidate will take the lead across 3 key areas: Curriculum Enrichment, Student Leadership and Special Projects and Events. They will oversee project budgets and implement impactful programmes that enhance teaching, learning and professional growth. Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor Degree
- Fully qualified teacher holding BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
- Possess relevant recent professional development that prepares the candidate for this role
- A minimum of 5 years teaching experience in Primary.
- 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience, such as Head of Year or Department.

- Curriculum Enrichment Development: Take a leading role in the design, review and implementation of a comprehensive, innovative and engaging enrichment curriculum that aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of students.
- Student Leadership: Lead efforts and maintain strategic oversight of the development of student leadership programmes across the Primary school including the School Council, Student Leadership Groups and Character Education.
- Special Projects and Events: Have strategic oversight of the school house system, special projects, real life links (including student enterprise with business and industry) and whole school community and curriculum enrichment events.
- Teaching & Learning: Support the development of high-quality teaching, learning and student learning outcomes, providing guidance and support to teaching staff in implementing effective pedagogical practices.
- Professional Development: Identify, plan, and deliver professional development programs for staff, fostering their growth and competence in curriculum delivery and enrichment.Inclusivity and Equity: Promote an inclusive and equitable learning environment by developing strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students, fostering a culture of diversity and inclusivity within the school.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with parents, the community, and school leadership to build strong partnerships, communicate curriculum-related information, and ensure a supportive and engaged educational community.
